Impressions from the World

Grand Bazaar

The Grand Bazaar of Istanbul is one of the biggest market of the world and it covers 300.700 m². It was built by Mohammed II between 1455 and 1730 and it includes about 4000 shops of all kind, but also bars, mosques and restaurants. Here are sold various objects such as jewelry, weapons, antiques, clothes, typical food and drinks.

With its perfumes, its lights and its colors, the Grand Bazaar is a really suggestive and fascinating place, which attracts tourists from all over the world.

Our advice is to negotiate the price of what you want to buy with the shopkeepers: it is a ritual dating back to antiquity.

The market is open everyday, except from sundays, from 8.30 am to 7.30 pm.

  • I just like the valuable info you provide in your articles.
I’ll bookmark your weblog and take
a look at again right here regularly.
I am slightly sure I’ll learn many new stuff proper here!

  • Hi there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using?
I’m looking to start my own blog soon but I’m having a difficult time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and
Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and
style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
