ENGLISH:
Grani di Pepe is both a restaurant and a hotel and it is located in Flaibano, a village in the province of Udine, in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The outside part of the location is really particular and it is composed of two garden: one is more cozy and it is surrounded by nature, such as flower beds and hedges; the other one is characterized by tables and chairs of various styles and colors. The inside is very elegant and refined and it is immersed in a peaceful atmosphere. The menu is composed by meat and fish dishes, which are combined in an original way with other flavors. According to us, the best dishes are: the black rice with smoked burrata, accompanied by a red and green tomato sauce; the different meat dishes, such as the guinea fowl and the piglet; the foie gras; the beef tartare combined with the flavor of cocoa. The dishes are presented in an excellent way, both in their composition and in their explanation: the staff has explained us every single detail. Another positive aspect is that the staff has offerd us some bread and breadsticks which are made by them. The bill is correct.
It has been a unique, pleasant experience and we absolutely have to repeat it

La parte esterna della location è molto particolare ed è composta da due giardini: uno molto più intimo posto in mezzo alla natura, cioè ad aiuole e siepi; l’altro caratterizzato dalla presenza di tavoli e sedie di vari stili e colori. La parte interna invece, è molto elegante e raffinata, ed è immersa in un’atmosfera di tranquillità. Il menù è composto da piatti di carne e pesce, abbinati in modo originale con altri sapori. I piatti che abbiamo più apprezzato sono stati: il riso nero con burrata affumicata, accompagnato da una salsa al pomodoro rosso e verde; i vari piatti di carne, la faraona ed il maialino; il foie gras; la tartare di manzo accostata al sapore del cacao. I piatti sono presentati in modo eccellente, sia nella loro composizione, sia dal punto di vista esplicativo: lo staff ci ha spiegato ogni dettaglio. Un altro aspetto positivo è che ci sono stati offerti pane e grissini prodotti dal locale stesso. Il conto è in linea con ciò che abbiamo mangiato.
È stata un’esperienza unica, piacevole e sicuramente da ripetere.
